Conference & training room audio/visual systems. Digital will be working with a team of low voltage cabling, and general construction to provide a new office system. New Project: Tocaya Organica

Digital was awarded the audio/visual systems for this new location for The Madera Group. Founded in Venice in 2016, Tocaya Organica now has locations serving San Diego, West Hollywood, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Playa Vista, Century City, El Segundo, and Scottsdale – with new locations coming to La Jolla, Westwood, DTLA and more! This new to Arizona restaurant concept has several more locations being considered for the Phoenix area.

New Relationship: Cox Communications

Digital has signed a Master Construction Agreement with Cox’s Strategic Sourcing group. Digital can provide construction, engineering and installation services in conjunction with and on the behalf of Cox. This agreement requires a good deal of qualification review, and Digital is now part of a small group of low voltage integrators that can work with and for Cox in the Arizona marketplace.

New Project: JLB Partners – 66^th & Mayo | Scottsdale, AZ

Digital was awarded the low voltage contract for another JLB Partner’s apartment project (352 units) in Scottsdale. The scope of work for this project includes all special systems consistent with the technology standards developed by JLB Partner’s corporate standard, which has been influenced through collaboration with Digital’s design team.

New Vendor Partner: PTI Security Systems

Digital adds PTI products and solutions to its Physical Security practice for security solutions specifically catering to the Self-Storage Industry. Since 1979, PTI has been the most trusted name in self-storage security with over 36,000 installations of PTI products and solutions in 30 countries. PTI solutions include fully-integrated access control, door alarms, site graphics, security management software and mobile applications for tenants and property managers. New Project: JLB Partners – Chauncey Lane Marketplace

Digital was awarded the low voltage contract for the luxury residential component of this mixed use development from JLB Partners who sets a standard with more than 300 units, featuring state-of-the-art amenities, interiors and common areas plus features including a rooftop exercise clubhouse and pool. Digital will be providing the special systems for this project and working closely with Cox, who will be providing the data communications backbone.

New Project: Streetlights Residential | Rio 2100

Digital and Communication Technology Services were jointly awarded the new development on Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe, adjacent to the Tempe Marketplace. The project consists of 349 units and amenity areas. Digital is responsible for the low voltage systems for the project.

Certification: Digital Technicians Earn Control4 Pakedge Networking Certifications

This week multiple Digital technicians became Pakedge Certified Network Administrators via a new certification program from Control4 design especially for A/V technicians. Pakedge is an award-winning family of home networking products designed specifically for home automation and high-performance wireless access. The unique course blends online coursework with practical hands-on learning to ensure mastery and knowledge retention. Each technician was trained in six (6) connected home networking disciplines, including:

New Project: D.R. Horton Multifamily – Desert Peak Luxury Apartments

Digital was awarded the contract to provide Audio/Visual, Surveillance, Security and Access Control systems for the new D.R. Horton multifamily division in Arizona. Digital will be providing a control system which allows the property managers to control all of the common areas systems, as well as provide a simple to use interface for the residents.

Announcement: Digital Physical Security Practice

Today Digital announced the formation of a Physical Security Practice.  As a commercial, multifamily and residential systems contractor, Digital has been providing video surveillance, access solutions and alarm systems, with monitoring on many of the projects it has been awarded.  The new practice is a focused effort to bring further physical security depth and expertise to businesses, property management companies, condo/apartment developers, hotels, as well as the residential customer.

Industry Event: TecHome Builder Summit

On December 5th, Jeff Beall, Digital’s President, was invited to participate on a Technology Best Practices panel at the TecHome Builder MultiFam event held at the Phoenix Convention Center. This year’s event hosted 51 guests from 37 different tech-forward, multifamily builders including Alliance Residential, Gables Residential, Lennar Multifamily Communities and Mill Creek Residential. This group of builders represent $22.7 billion in revenue from 51,385 homes built. The TecHome Builder Summit also hosted an additional 184 guests in their HiVol and Lux tracks representing an additional $43.3 billion from 197,836 homes.

New Project: C Myers Corporate Headquarters

Digital was awarded the contract to design, engineer and install collaboration and video conferencing technology for the new office renovation.  Digital worked with the C Myers project team to leverage existing equipment, and provided a new Crestron control system, integrated for training rooms.  As well, a Cambridge Sound Management noise cancellation system was installed to create the optimum atmosphere for a productive work environment.

New Project: Alliance Residential | Broadstone Lakeside

Alliance recently purchased 2.4 acres of industrial property within walking distance of Tempe Town Lake in Tempe.  Digital has been awarded the contract to provide the amenity technology for the project.  The area is proposed for the 168-unit Broadstone Lakeside apartments, which will include a retail component and studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans.

New Project: Alliance Residential | Broadstone Roosevelt Row

One of Alliance Residential’s largest multifamily housing projects, a 316-unit luxury apartment complex, is under construction in the Roosevelt Row Arts District in the urban core of downtown Phoenix, nationally known for its arts and cultural events. The $62 million project has two phases, with the first slated for completion in fall 2017 and the second in spring 2018.  Encompassing roughly 295,500 square feet, the four-story building with a few lofts on the top floor will have an 8,000-square-foot Mexican restaurant on the first floor and an additional 4,400 square feet of yet-to-be determined retail space.

Broadstone Roosevelt Row’s amenities will include a resort-inspired pool and pool house with private cabanas, two-story fitness center with top-of-the-line equipment, rooftop pavilion and a clubroom. The complex will boast a variety of high-tech features that include Sonos sound systems, GE’s Wi-Fi-connected appliances and NEST’s self-learning, Wi-Fi-enabled thermostats. Digital is providing the technology amenities for this project, including an advanced control system by Crestron Electronics.

New Project: Trilogy at Verde River

Digital Commercial Systems has been awarded the low-voltage and special systems contract from Kitchell, who is the general contractor on the new Verde River club house facility.  Digital will provide the voice, data and video cabling throughout the multiple buildings, as well the access control system and audio/visual.  This clubhouse concept is loaded with amenities including a market, art loft, restaurants, spa and salon, tennis courts, as well as a championship golf course.  Digital worked closely with Shea Homes, Blue Star Resort and Golf to design a system that would not only support the facility requirements but would be simple to operate for both residents and staff.

New Project: Optima Kierland

Digital has been awarded the vendor of choice for the new upscale condominium development in the Kierland area of Scottsdale.  This new residential building is being offered with a great deal of customization.  Digital will be working with each owner to design a technology plan for their new home that fits their lifestyle.  Working closely with the design and construction teams at Optima, Digital is optimizing the homeowner’s ability to bring technology into their new unit.

New Development: Main Street Place (Old Town Scottsdale)

Digital has been selected to be the technology provider for the new Old Town Scottsdale development Main Street Place, located in prime location to shops, entertainment and dining locations. Digital has worked with Vos Design to create a technology plan for both the new residents and the building-wide systems.  Included in its scope of work are club rooms, access control and surveillance systems. As well, Digital will be working with each new buyer to discuss alternatives for technology in the new home.

Award: Digital is now a Platinum Dealer for Control 4

Digital was awarded Platinum status with Control 4 after a very short 18 month relationship. The combination of Digital’s multifamily project success, and Control 4’s simple to use, and robust home automation technology, has created much success for the relationship. Digital has successfully implemented the Control 4 processor as a standard within over 260 condominium units.  This approach has been embraced by forward thinking development teams that value green living, IP-based control solutions and convenient features of a smart home.

New Development: Lake Country Village

Digital Commercial Systems has been awarded the contract for the low voltage systems for the long awaited development at the shuttered Lake Country shopping center located along the north side of Baseline Road and just east of Rural Road in Tempe. There are nine, three-story buildings situated on the northern portion of the property behind the retail component. The one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in the gated community will range from 711 sq. ft. to 1,300 sq. ft. There are also six, live-work units on the ground Floor that will average about 1,200 sq. ft. Digital will be providing all cable plant for the development, access control, surveillance systems, and audio visual for the common area amenities. Digital Commercial Systems has been selected as the technology partner on a new urban development by Liv URBN Development called The Mason. Located at 16th Street and Bethany Home Road, these townhomes will be located within walking distance of many great restaurants and shops. Digital designed a technology plan that complements the lifestyle of the anticipated buyer of these homes. Each home will be wired with a robust wired infrastructure, including a prewire for advance wireless network. Event: ASSA ABLOY Mobile Showroom Makes a Stop in Phoenix

Digital Commercial Systems and ASSA ABLOY hosted a showroom demonstration of what can be referred to as the ‘Security Continuum’. ASSA ABLOY offers a complete range of technologies with increasing capabilities designed to address today’s security requirements.  From Mechanical locks with smart credentials, offline, wireless and online products all the way to ‘intelligent openings’ ASSA ABLOY demonstrated these products from their ‘Solutions Roadshow’.  Digital is a Certified Integrator for the controlled access products and can provide design, engineering, installation and the on-going support of these state-of-the-art physical security solutions.  Multifamily, assisted living and commercial clients attended this event and were able to recognize the alternatives available for their development projects.

New Project: Shea Homes – Trilogy at Wickenburg Ranch

Digital Commercial Systems was awarded the contract for the Design/Build of the digital infrastructure of the 33,000 square foot golf and social clubhouse complex at Trilogy at Wickenburg Ranch.  Included in the scope of work under contract include the data network cabling infrastructure, the audio-visual systems and related infrastructure as well as a security and access control system.  The complex is currently under construction with 4 buildings and related golf/tennis amenities.  Trilogy by Shea Homes, considers the clubhouse a key element to the lifestyle of its future residents and stakeholders.  Included at the property is a feature restaurant, relaxing indoor/outdoor bar, charming, classic neighborhood café and gourmet market, full fitness facility, including dedicated spaces for strength training, cardio, and mobility/group training, men’s and Ladies’ locker rooms, spa facilities, including nail care and massage the resort pool.

Completed Project: Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park

Digital Commercial Systems recently completed the renovation of the White Tower guest suites at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.  New infrastructure cabling in support of the motorsports event calendar included cabling to meet all of the latest technology standards, signal integrity to allow for a flexible video routing  capability for the facility.  New video displays were install throughout the property, as well as an updated sound system.  The park includes four race tracks: a 1/4 mile NHRA sanctioned drag strip; 1.6 mile road course; a 10-turn 1.25 mile road course; and a 1.1 mile road course, incorporating 11 tight turns and a 3/8 mile straight-away. It also features a 2.4 mile IHBA and APBA sanctioned oval lake.

New Project: Liv URBN – Contour on Campbell Ave

Liv URBN Development and Digital will be providing a state-of-the-art residential technology standard for the Contour on Campbell Ave development.  The developer and Digital worked closely to meet the requirements of simplicity and functionality for the homeowners.  Each unit will come standard with a Control 4 home automation system.  Smart door lock, easy to use audio/video and NEST smart thermostats all will be controlled through a Digital programmed Control 4 system.  Homeowners will have many options to choose from that offer enhanced Home Entertainment, Security, Green Living and Home Automation features.  Digital will also be responsible for the implementation of the building-wide systems to include access control, surveillance and common area audio/video.

New Project: Butte Companies – Easy Street Sales Center

Digital and Butte Companies have developed a new sales center located in beautiful Carefree Arizona. Easy Street will offer luxury residences with high-end amenities both within the units and the common areas. Digital has implemented a sales center solution that provides the buyer a place to learn about the technologies available for their new home. NEST thermostats, SONOS entertainment systems, ALARM.com systems are all on display at the new sales center opening February 2016.

Completed Project: Alliance Residential – Broadstone Sixteen 75

Digital and Alliance have recently completed another project leveraging Crestron’s control system to automate property management functions and improve the common area system ease of use. Included in this installation at Broadstone Sixteen 75 is a gaming center, along with other audio/visual systems and surveillance. Digital designed and installed a turn-key installation for Alliance.

Completed Project: Alliance Residential – Broadstone Waterfront

Digital has completed a state-of-the-art technology system for this luxury apartment residence. The property is automated with a Crestron control system that manages the daily routine of audio/visual and surveillance of the new property development by Alliance Residential. Common area systems are controlled through the system such as pool cabana televisions, club room systems, fitness sound system and more. One unique feature is the underwater sound system in the pool. The leasing office has control of these systems from a centralized and mobile application.

New Project: Habitat Metro – Portland on the Park

Digital and Habitat Metro, the developer of Portland on the Park downtown condominiums, have signed an agreement for the technology design, installation and programming of the projects technology requirements.  Included in the agreement is a fiber-based data communications infrastructure, unit low-voltage wiring, common areas systems for audio/visual, access control and surveillance systems.  As well, Digital will be marketing the technology packages available to the condo buyers.  Included in the standards being offered by the development team is the home automation system from Elan Home Systems.  Elan’s ‘g’ system has been recognized as a best in class product for user simplicity and complete integration to other subsystems such as security, lighting control, thermostat control and motorized shade systems.

New Project: ASU Baseball

When ASU signed its agreement with the City of Phoenix to establish the new home of ASU Baseball at Phoenix Municipal Stadium , they knew the sound system in the locker room and weight room was going to make a difference with the players.  They also had experience with Internet streaming music such as Pandora and Spotify.  Digital designed a sound system that rocked the place.  Using Community Speakers, Sonos players and commercial grade QSC amplifier, the system is controller through in-wall Apple iPads.  Go Devils!

New Project: Landmark Homes USA – Aerium

Digital and Landmark Homes USA have signed an agreement to provide construction and marketing services for the Aerium development in Scottsdale Arizona.  In conjunction with automation vendor Clare Controls and Digital, Landmark has made the decision to invest in a standard feature of the Clare Control CLIQ smart home processor.  Along with other standard features to include controllable thermostats and door locks, Digital will be supporting Landmark in the option packages that home buyers are looking for in this urban lifestyle property.  Packages have been created to offer security, green living and home entertainment options.  The project is due to break ground within the next 60 days and many units have already been sold.

New Provider: Clare Controls

Adding to its lineup of state of the art technology providers, Digital announced today that it has signed a dealer agreement with Clare Controls.  Headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, Clare Controls has captured the attention of the home building industry with its cloud-based control platform.  This product is designed for the ultimate in simplicity and dealer serviceability.  The user interface is recognized as Apple-like and has unique features such as ‘smart icons’ that allow a user to view content within a touch screen button, such as the music that is playing, or the image being streamed from a surveillance camera.  Digital will be proactively marketing this product within the residential marketplace it serves.

New Location

Digital signs lease for expanded operations.  Located in the Arcadia Corporate Park, Digital’s new location of 6000 square feet of office, warehouse and technical support operations will allow for the company’s continued growth in both the residential and commercial markets.  The new facility is centrally located for Digital customer base.  Within the facility, the company will implement a number of technology solutions for demonstration and everyday use.

New Partnership: Imagine Backyard Living

Digital and the newly launched Imagine Backyard Living showroom have formed a partnership to extend the outdoor living experience with technology solutions delivered by Digital.  Within the facility, Digital has installed high quality sound system to provide Sonos streaming music content.  Along with outdoor television zones, the partnership will provide lifestyle features such as automation and control over backyard systems.

New Provider: Control4 Corporation

Digital has signed a dealer agreement with Control4 Corporation.  Control4 is a product that has proven itself in the automation marketplace as a
price-performance leader.  Digital will be trained on the design, installation and programming of Control4’s entire product family.  Adding Control4 to Digital’s line up of the industry best in breed technology providers extends Digital’s value proposition to its customers and marketing partners.

New Vice President: Don Cook

Today Digital announced the addition of a senior manager.  Don Cook will join Digital as Vice President of Design and Engineering and Principal Partner.  Don’s education and 20-year background will position Digital well as it expands its solution set into today’s commercial technology solutions.  Don joins Digital after similar roles at both a residential integrator and commercial systems contractor.

New Project: GHE&A – 44 Monroe

Digital and GHE&A (Geoffrey H. Edmunds & Associates) have signed an agreement to provide technical services for the 44 Monroe condominium project that has been purchased by ST Residential.  Digital will be providing wire verification analysis to confirm the integrity of all building wiring.  As well, Digital will be working to upgrade all common areas systems to include the exercise facility, club room and pool areas.

New Project: Hotel Valley Ho Residential Tower

Systems Contractor Digital Home Lifestyle has been selected as the provider of low-voltage design services for the Hotel Valley Ho Residential Tower.  In coordination with Hayes Architecture & Interiors, Digital will be meeting with each buyer to help in the selection of technology systems such as audio/video and home control systems.

New Project: W Development – Summit at Copper Square

Digital Home Lifestyles has signed another agreement with Chicago-based developer W Development for technology marketing and project management services for the Summit at Copper Square.   In this agreement, Digital Home Lifestyles will be meeting with each buyer to help in the selection of low voltage wiring upgrades and other system options such as enhanced audio and home control.  Digital Home Lifestyles will also be designing and installing the club room systems for resident use.  A 23^rd floor party deck will be fully outfitted for entertainment purposes.

New Project: GHE&A – Scottsdale Waterfront Residences

Digital Home Lifestyles announced today that it has signed a technology marketing agreement with Geoffrey H. Edmunds and Associates to provide technology standards and upgrades for the Scottsdale Waterfront Residences.  Included in this new relationship will be the design and installation of the common areas systems for both of the buildings.

Portland Place Partners, the developers of the 54 unit downtown luxury condominium project, along with DAVIS Architects have brought Digital Home Lifestyles onto the design team.  Digital Home Lifestyles will provide the low-voltage infrastructure design for building-wide low-voltage systems including the data communication plan.  As well, Digital will be working with the real estate sales team to help with options and upgrades available to the buyers.

New Project: Arruth Associates – Main Street Plaza

Digital Home Lifestyles, a Phoenix Arizona based residential systems contractor announced it will be providing design services for Houston-based Arruth Associates for its Scottsdale Arizona development Main Street Plaza.  This 34 unit luxury mid-rise building will be treated as custom homes as it relates to the buyer’s interest in technology.  Digital Home Lifestyles will be meeting with each customer to develop a plan for pre-wire and final system solutions.
